Government Guidance

RSHE Review

The government has recently released a draft of its updated guidance for schools on Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE). This guidance is currently undergoing review and the public consultation closed on 11th July 2024.

For PSHE teachers, some important changes include additional topics to be taught and age restrictions on certain material. Our Curriculum covers all the content mandated by government, including the proposed changes to RSHE, the Citizenship National Curriculum and the Independent School Standards.

Citizenship Curriculum

Citizenship is included in the National Curriculum in Key Stages 3 and 4. The documents below show how the PSHEasy curriculum meets the requirements of the citizenship curriculum.

Independent Schools

The requirements for independent schools are set out in The Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014. The Independent School Standards provide guidance for interpreting these regulations. The documents below show how the PSHEasy curriculum meets the requirements of the Independent School Standards.
